The last Babes in Arms Movie was “Australia” the movie with all the hype. So we went to see it.

The verdict – Long….. There were a few times I thought it must be over but no it just kept going. It did make me cry in a couple of places, so it was emotionally engaging, but probably only as a mother.

Nic and Hugh gave some great acting supported by a brilliant Australian cast, but the story was a little weak. The treatment of the indigenous Australian issues were tactfully done, but the complete change in Nic’s charactor was a huge stretch to believe.

I guess Baz is only brilliant when singing is involved. Save some money and wait to rent it on DVD.
